‘Millionaire’ MPAs claim not owning any vehicle

At least 40 Sindh Assembly members, including members of the cabinet, have claimed in declarations to the Election Commission that they do not own any vehicles, while simultaneously declaring their other properties, jewellery, businesses, cash and other valuables as often running into hundreds of millions of rupees.

Power, VVIPs go together

SUKKUR, April 5: The third biggest city of Sindh again witnessed an undeclared electricity loadshedding the moment the last VIP left on Monday morning.

The president, prime minister, federal and provincial ministers and members of the parliament had started arriving here on April 2. After a brief stopover, they had left for Garhi Khuda Bux to participate in the 31st death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

From the evening of April 2 to 5, there was no loadshedding in the city and people enjoyed uninterrupted power supply for 60 hours, except for one or two tripping just for a spell of two to three minutes.

The VIPs left Sukkur on Sunday evening and Monday morning. With their departure, Hesco resorted to an undeclared loadshedding.
